1967 Mini Cooper RSX type-S UPDATE (5 photos)

You're looking at a photo of a 2005 Acura RSX type-S engine, with a custom fitted AEM air intake and a Honda Civic radiator.

It's all tightly squeezed and fitted to the bay of a 1967 Mini Cooper truck.

We planned on rolling it out today, to take some nicer photos.  Linh just finished test fitting the airbag suspension to the front.  Upon putting down the car there were some issues with the wheel clearance.  No problem - back to the drawing board.  This is normal when fitting custom applications.

Here is the airbag installed.  The raw metal has been painted black for aesthetic.  You can barely figure the lower clearance is a little close and fitment needs to be worked on just a bit more.  Here's a closer look at that clearance.

Here's another look at the engine bay.  You can see there is not much room to play with.  So the RSX AEM intake has been cut and refitted towards the back using Spectre Performance intake couplings.

Stay tuned for more updates, and to see when the airbag suspension gets fitted properly and the Mini gets taken out for a spin.  In the meanwhile Linh is at the drawing board to get this issue straightened out.
