Tomorrow morning we're heading out to Lakewood, CA. The occasion is a Japanese classic car BBQ meet. We're always looking forward in meeting other classic car owners and checking out their cars. For this meet we'll be taking the 2JZ Celica - and there was a quick fix we had to take care of before we take it on the road.
We got the Celica on the liftto get her ready for a quick suspension replacement. As of now, the 30 year old suspension was really bouncing a bit, making for an uncomfortable ride.
We took the whole assembly down. Here's just a picture of the strut tower, but we like any pictures that show the 2JZ peaking.
Before we took the assembly down, we snapped this picture to show the custom fitted 3000GT break assembly. Which, is usually peaking behind the 17" Chrysler 300-C wheels.
Quick and easy, we got the struts changed out. The Celica rides a lot more comfortable now - but in the future we do plan on setting up a custom suspension. So keep checking in. In the background you can see the future JER shop van, our 1968 Mini Cooper van. And, can you guess what that Greddy FMC is attached to?
